This series is becoming a favorite mainly due to the fact that the women are strong and independent even in the midst of Alpha men at every turn.In this book, we meet Cory. She is the only girl in a family of a LOT of boys and is getting her chance at independence. At the age of 21, she's a freshman at ULCA- light years from her small Texas home town. By chance she meets Brett in the airport in Los Angeles where they are both heading home.
Brett, still reading from a broken engagement, is not looking for love. But when he runs into Cory (literally), he can't get her out of his mind. He's a popular pro footballer and is not looking to settle down but another random meeting in Texas only solidifies the fact that he wants to get to know her better.
Of course, mishaps and drama ensues and it doesn't look like love is in the cards for these two. But that's what makes this story compelling. They both mess up, jump to conclusions and it's believable. I enjoyed meeting members of the McLemore family again and I can wait to read book 3!

Much better written and edited than the prior two in the series, with just a few typos and verb tense issues.
The story feels more like a fairy tale than something that could happen in real life, but the characters were fun to spend time with and the plot was entertaining. The author did a much better job keeping the sex scenes feeling more modern and realistic than the previous two books in this series. There's real heat and chemistry between the two characters, with only a few places where the dialog feels a little awkward.
I got books 2-4 in the series on sale, and after the first two, I wasn't sure I'd be reading more by this author, but I really did enjoy this story and the seeds that were sown for the next one have me interested in continuing to read about this family.
I f you need some fun as well as some hot story line... here you go! You are in for a good read!!
This book was awesome to read. I recommend everyone to read this. I literally could not stop reading it. I love all of Susan Arden's books.
Not for me. I could not connect with the story.
I'm not sure where to begin. The story was good, if you were able to get around the missing words in the sentences and lack of punctuation marks. If I wasn't so intrigued by Cory and Brett I wouldn't have finished the book.
Loved this book. This is the 4th in the Bad Boy series and I believe the best so far. I loved Cory's spitfire attitude. I loved how that even though Brett had a learning disability he still had a great career. I loved how he punished her when she got out of line *wink* I liked how they had to overcome media issues. She has a cousin of which I wanted to strangle. Cory's family is awesome, I loved how they stick up for one another yet they harass each other. I truly recommend this to anyone who loves steamy romances with alpha men and women who are spitfires. Great writing and great story.
This is the second McLemore book I have read from Susan Arden in less than a day. Now to find out how Matt & Carolina came about & then Rory & their cousin Robs story... I am really looking forward to Brandons story the most.
This book started out with Cory & Brett bumping into each other at the airport, only to meet up again outside a club while the girls are having a night out celebrating Gillians engagement. Fate seemed to bring them together and Brett was smart enough to know a good thing when he sees it. From chaos on the first night to Love these two find a way to talk and work it out. The sex scenes were scorching. The book flowed well, the characters were likeable except for the no good cousin Ashley that I would love to see get her just desserts. I actually like this family. A must read for those who love romance with hot scenes with a guy who can handle 5 overprotective brothers.
