Michael had spent most of his freshman year at Tulane University feeling alone amongst thousands of students. After turning to alcohol to forget his problems, he faces expulsion for a drunken mistake. He's mercifully offered community service hours instead.
Later that day, he's presented with an invitation that will change his life forever join a mission trip to Honduras. The last thing he wants to do is spend spring break "doing good" with a bunch of strangers. But to erase the required hours in one fell swoop, he agrees to the trip.
Over the course of three missions to Honduras, Michael experiences the highest of highs and lowest of lows. He finds love, develops a relationship with God, and learns valuable life lessons. But then he becomes consumed by pride, gives in to temptation, and almost loses it all.

A very thought provoking story. I thoroughly enjoyed the realization that the world must change their ways of living. Michael has opened my eyes , showing me a way to be more thoughtful of others a d to experience God love in every daily aspect. I truly could not put this story down. There are a lot of good, innocent people who need love and attention and I admire anyone that accepts this Godly mission. I've wondered why groups go to foreign countries and after this story, I fully understand their mission.Product details

Mission from the Depths gives you more than a taste of Tim's personal insight into how rewarding it can be to spread care and love to others.
Such a wonderful read, captures the true spirit of what it means to live your life to the fullest and embrace whatever it throws at you. If you are looking for a great carefree book that you won't be able to put down, I highly recommend this )
Mission from the Depths tells a great story about the journey. The author describes both sides of a missionary's story...what is wanted and what is needed. It addresses many of the highs and lows of putting oneself on the line all for the great gift of joy and happiness. It's an honest account of how wonderful stepping outside of the comfort zone can be.
